Glosford Shortlisted in Design Competition: NMITE – New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering

We are delighted to announce that Glosford have been shortlisted in a design competition that we entered, with the winner being awarded a contract to build the first new Education Centre For Advanced Timber Technology (CATT) in Hereford.

Showcasing timber as a construction material, this centre would host up to 200 students in 8 studios studying their MEng programme, degree apprenticeships and CPD short courses. The centre would house a large flexible industrial space including high tech timber manufacturing equipment and potential for applied research and testing.

Working as part of the design team including local Architects and Engineers, we are all excited to be involved in this government backed Educational scheme with SIPS and Glulam forming the main superstructure envelope.
