Over the past few weeks, the shape of the new hall started to appear, the shuttering complete and concrete poured for the foundations. The new nursery walls and roof structure appeared quickly after concrete was poured there. It was not long before the walls and roof of the hall were up too.
The new building was commissioned by Thomas Homes and are to provide facilities for the whole community.

Lakeview Village Hall is a new community hall located on the edge of the Great Easthall estate on the outskirts of Sittingbourne.
The hall has a very modern design look and incorporates a large glass foyer at the entrance. The hall is large and filled with light from the light cannons built into the roof.
The design and build of the hall is to the very latest construction technology, the hall is accessible to people of all abilities. The construction materials are renewable with local materials and are designed to be environmentally friendly. The roof has been constructed to incorporate a grass roof and to encourage wildlife.
The hall has attracted a lot of interest from organised clubs that will attract the Great Easthall community to use the hall. The hall will become the centre of the Great Easthall community.
Sip Panels were supplied and installed on this Bristol Home complete with internal partitions and floors working closely with our Oak Frame partners Carpenter Oak. Glosford complete around 6 – 10 projects a year with Oak Framers offering a joint package of traditional internal Oak frame coupled with an energy efficient Kingspan TEK SIP envelope. Both companies offsite construction to ensure a smooth interface with differing materials which can all be completed in around 3 weeks for an average 4-5 bed home.
We needed to provide large teaching spaces within a quick construction period that would leave no footprint on the land if it was returned to grazing land in the future. The Kingspan TEK Building System was an obvious choice as it is low maintenance and lightweight.The ethos was to create an energy efficient building designed to meet Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) compliance, which Glosford was specified for as it provided a well-insulated structure.
The 540m2 Project was completed on time in under 4 weeks and included both a vaulted SIP roof and Attic Roof Trusses manufactured by Glosford.

Foxden was the first project we did which was the Principle Roger Cummings own residence so he gained first-hand experience of our service on SIP builds.

Huge Glulam beams forming part of the Churches roof have been installed using flitch plate connections all designed and manufactured at our works here in Hereford. All connection plates were pre-fitted at our factory to simplify the installation on site.
