Glosford secure first new YMCA Nursery Building in Andover.
We would like to thank all our customers who in our 8th year of operation have contributed to another record year of growth seeing the business complete over 50 self-build projects since January 2016.
Together with 3 large residential sites and several private contracts in the education, sports, leisure and health sectors, this represents a continuing strengthening of Glosford as a leading UK SIP provider.
2017 is shaping up to be another record breaker with a new strategic alliance with a South East Developer commissioning Glosford to build all their future residential projects across the Greater London area with 13 new projects due to commence in the first half of this year.
Glosford were chosen as a key sub-contractor to assist in the completion of the UK’s first trial of a project operating with Integrated Project Insurance in Dudley in the West Midlands to build a new £11.7m Centre for Advanced Building Technologies (CABTech) at Dudley College.
“It’s the first IPI contract approved by the Cabinet Office via its Roll Out Management Group. It is also the primary nominated project under procurement trials by Innovate UK’s Technology Strategy Board. It has the support of an industry steering group and academic partner reviewing its implementation and success.
The principle differences to the standard form of contract is that there has been full integration and unconstrained collaboration between the client, consultants, contractors, specialists, manufacturers and others in supply chains. IPI is designed to support collaborative working and the use of truly integrated teams, helping to drive out waste, deliver innovation and provide better, more cost effective solutions to meet the needs of clients.
IPI is founded on the methods and experiences of exemplars which have led the construction industry’s transition towards integrated collaborative working in the last 15 to 20 years. Key exemplar projects that have provided a proven foundation: Building Down Barriers – Defence Estates (with Tavistock Institute) FUSION projects – Glaxo Wellcome Andover North Site – MOD (with Rider Levett Bucknall) Heathrow Terminal 5 – BAA”.
