The location of this two storey extension offered limited space for a crane to operate so Glosford devised a lift plan to overcome this and help the client to make his dream into reality. With the use of small lorries for delivering materials to site and a forklift to offload the goods from nearby, site installation could begin.

Using 172mm SIP, only the timber frame wall attached to the existing house was to be supplied and installed by us. With restrictions on the lintel size, our design team liaised with the structural engineers to try and keep the window opening as close to the desired size as possible by request of the client.

Open web Posi joists were used for the first floor underneath a 22mm chipboard deck with no opening included for a stairwell as access would be via the existing house.
